Private
Services is a consumer-initiated service that offers in-home assistance
on a short or long-term basis that meets the individuals
medical and personal needs, including light housekeeping and household
management. Private Services provides one-on-one care and support
during times of rehabilitation and recovery. Up to 24-hour care
can be available in the patients home, giving primary caregivers
and family members reassurance, freedom, and flexibility.
A registered nurse will complete a personalized
assessment and develop a plan tailored to meet the needs of the
individual, ensuring that support is available when needed. Licensed
RNs, competency-tested home health aides, and qualified specialty
therapists provide care.
Because it is designed to meet ones
individual needs and preferences, Private Services offers many
options for care. Services provided could include:
Bathing and personal care, including bath
or shower, shampoo, nail, skin, and hair care
Assistance with activities of daily living,
which include meal preparation, laundry, and errands.
Personal supervision for companionship
and safety
Respite care for caregivers
Rehabilitative care and support following
injury or accident
Supplemental staffing for established hospice
and home care patients
Private Services may be covered by some private
insurance plans, Medicaid special programs, no-fault auto insurance,
community agencies such as the Area Agency on Aging, or through
private pay. Medicare does not cover Private Services.
